MP for the City of Bridgetown, Patrick Todd, calls for all Barbadian MPs to publicly declare their sexual orientation.
We’ve declared assets. Now is the time for us to declare our sexuality. I feel very strongly about this. The people of Barbados need to challenge us and ask us how we feel about homosexuality and if we are heterosexual or homosexual.

We in Parliament must be good role models in this respect. We have to be good examples for the public we serve.
Seeing that this is a man who has previously said that “we can’t force people to be heterosexual, but we can encourage them to be”, you will forgive me if I doubt the nobility of his intentions.
